QLA Officers for 2008

The new set of Quezon Librarians Association (QLA) officers elected last September 14, 2007 QLA General Assembly were inducted to office last January 11, 2008 during the one day seminar on “Reshaping Librarianship” held at Saint Anne College, Lucena City by Mr. Marcial Batiancila, PLAI-STRLC Chair for 2008.

QLA Seminar: Reshaping Librarianship

The Quezon Librarians Association (QLA) celebrated its anniversary last September 2007 and elected a new set of officers. In line with the induction of the new QLA officers, they have organized a seminar entitled “Reshaping Librarianship” on January 11, 2008 at the 1st Floor Audio Visual Center of St. Anne College, Diversion Road, Barangay Gulang-Gulang, Lucena City.

Participants will focus on leadership issues relevant to their role, enhance their personal leadership style and learn effective strategies for working effectively with their supervisors.

A seminar fee of Php 400 will be collected during the one day seminar which will cover registration fee, seminar kit, lunch and snacks.

The Quezon Librarians Associations (QLA) will hold a one-day “Forum on the Eminent Role of Librarians In Research Management and Development” on 14 September 2007 (Friday) at Sacred Heart College, Lucena City.
The forum is open to all librarians, library assistants, support staff, teacher-librarians and other information professionals. It aims to cultivate clearer understanding on the role of librarians and other information professionals in research and management development.

The forum fee is P200.00 to cover lunch, snacks and kit. An additional P100.00 as registration fee for new QLA members.
