Books Across South East Asia Conference

The Book Development Association of the Philippines has organized a book publishing conference entitled “Books Across South East Asia” to be held on August 28-29, 2007 at the Bayview Park Hotel, Manila, which will also coincide with the Manila International Book Fair, August 29-September 3, 2007 at the World Trade Center, Roxas Boulevard, Manila.

The objective of the conference is to deepen in the minds and hearts of various sectors of society in the different nations of Southeast Asia public awareness of books written and published by, and in, one another’s country. It will also be venue where educators (public and private, all levels), librarians, book publishers and sellers, writers, editors, artists (designers and illustrators), university presses, government agencies involved in education, social welfare, and trade, book reading advocates, corporations and their foundations, and entrepreneurs of the region can dialogue.
